My Educational Philosophy Judith Thompson Getting an education was never easy for me. However, giving back to my community and my country as a model citizen has always been my passion. Education is the first aspect toward getting involved with social change. I believe it is my goal to play a part in making the difference toward pushing future doctors, lawyers, teachers, and inspiring business owners to want to do the same. Being a good role model has many of these attributes. I want the best education possible, so that I can successfully do something positive. Before, I was a sub-Teacher for the Chicago Public (CPS) for 4 years. I have had the experience as an educator to open and close a classroom. My experience as a sub-Teacher had many adventures, but I learned to be loving, patient, and creative. Running a classroom became an impossible dreams as the demand for teacher certification became challenging too many. At that point, I just gave up. I’ve decided to turn my focus toward performing arts as a new wave to educate, but I never return to the Chicago Public Schools. CagoPierre Production and Doing God’s Work (DGW) Foundation is a small performing arts business that participate in two sectors profit and nonprofit. We partially reached of our goal grossing at $50,000.00. This includes last year, March 8, 2010, published children’s novel “The Adventures of the Beartective (Series One) that reflects my cause toward keeping the innocents of life flows. I successfully run an online magazine that has over 20,000 subscribers. My journey has just begun. My mission is to be the best and persuade others to join in. It’s the only thing that I know that will constitute living a better life as we know it. Knowing that education makes a better life, I have decided to study reading literacy and language arts as my case study for grades K-12. This passion did not come without merit or experience. As a public school recipient, life after high school became a reality. Feeling shut off from the expected life as I knew it made me very depressed. As my parents both rein to different avenues to get me into college, the disappointing aspect of my education was the lack of reading literacy and language arts comprehension and capability. I have had many of teachers K-12 that lack the transition to teach. According to Morgan (2010) passion is the upmost importance. Our schools are waiting for a miracle to sweep through to make a difference (p. A21). Meanwhile, our schools are face with many attitudes pointing toward the educators who are seen as prospects that lack passion, and for this our schools continue to suffer. On a personal bases, I witnessed from many educators personal conflict and self center attributes that I allowed standing in my way. This fluke of an educational experience has made me more determine to resolve my academic problem. I can remember my first turn around, and I then discovered what make a good writer. Reading is very important. The reading selection aspect is the avenue to being able to communicate through writing in many styles. However, it is the type of readings that puts us in the frame of being able to write on a scholarly level. I find that passion grows from the environment itself. Getting a good education starts with conquering reading literacy and language arts. Most subjects require reading and writing when in college. The level of expectancy is high because at that point each student should be capable to handling the readings and writings. As an educator, my focus case study will reveal the problems with the inner city urban America. The levels of expectancy have many alerts, but I don’t believe that there has not been a liable case study to present to the failing schools. Looking at the results as a doctoral student, failing schools reading literacy and language arts curriculum 95% of urban America is face with poor scoring. MacInnes (2011) examines bits and pieces of why most of the public schools in the urban community scores behind on the national front. In comparison to the suburban communities, the urban sector is too wide open. The education in urban America should be broken and divided by the scores gearing the focus in one curriculum. There will still be competition, but the standards met will allow each student to take advantage of getting a good education (p A2). As we examine the different strategies for teaching in grades K-12, we can gradually reveal good teaching as a way to raise scores. Still under the national ratifications requirements, building and dividing the schools allows the students to receive a better standard of education. We acknowledge that the circumstance may be controversial, but the curriculum will be met. Jacobson (2011) propose a dissection of overcrowded schools with different learning patterns may be the problem for failing schools (p 72). Failing schools comes with no merit because our children are currently faced with many missed opportunities. In order to see improvement in education, the curriculum has to be torn apart and dividing into each specification that meets the student learning. The fair part of this strategy may result in giving the attention to one aspect of level of learning. The controversial aspect is when educators try to cram all levels of learning into one school district. As a doctoral student of Education, my case study will reflect the curriculum of reading literacy and language arts as the main process of getting the students, parents, educators, politicians, and other social networks to realize the importance of bulking down on improving our nation scores. College is for everyone who is willing to work and develop a educational relationship. As a past college student, I faced ruff times, but I was determine to get an education. I had good professors, and I had a few that I found impossible. Overall, I accomplished the impossible, and I have a job to do as an educator help others succeed. I am unselfish, and I want a chance to show others a better way. I am starving for a chance to be the best educator as well as do God’s will giving back. I am excited to be a part of a faculty and staff that shares the same goals. I look forward to this opportunity as I now at the end of my educational venture for I will be graduating Spring 2014 from Northcentral University with a doctorate degree PHD in Education.
